Very similar experience; bought a charger......for the NIMH AA batteries......when we bought the camera. Have done the Wal-mart on-line thing; just wanted my on printer (my office printer does a pretty good job, but it's slow and the process has to go thru the computer); it's self-contained and can be carried to family reunions, on vacation, etc. Cost per print for the photo printer is supposedly 29 cents......(of course, that doesn't include cost of printer) using their paper and ink; should be cheaper by shopping around for ink. My brother has a similar camera and puts the images onto a CD and reuses the xd card. A one-thousand image (at low resolution) card only costs about 25 bucks, so I've chosen to keep the images and buy new cards; have no idea how long the images on the card will last; have any idea?????
