I don't have OnStar, drive Ford products, however as far as locking keys in the car my wife is as good at it as anyone. She got a new car in 03 that has key pads. Great thing if you lock your keys inside or you need to get in the car and the keys are in the house. Bad thing about them is you have to buy other extras to get them. We didn't set out to get them, just happened to be on the car she liked. CLW
