thanks Mike,..i think i've gotten responses from you before and i really appreciate it. I have turned the motor by turning the fan and placing my finger over the first plug port and the pressure seems to want to push my finger off the port. So, being as the engine has run before in the past weeks,untill rust became a problem,..i tend to believe the problem lies within the carb,..maybe float or maybe even stopped up with rust. I'll take your advice and check compresion just to be sure anyway. thanks again
