Don't go checking out those pin hole spraying oil with any of your body parts.
The pin hole is from the oil taking the path of least resistance through some very tough material. Two or three layers of steel braid and some high quality oil resistant inner liner and out sheath.
A small weak spot blew but everything else around it is still too strong to fail. Hence the small orfice.
