New Holland/Case Merger

I am an economist in Washington, DC, doing some research on farm equipment. I saw on Monday that New Holland and Case were planning to merge and I was hoping to get some feedback on what people in the field thought about this. The companies contend that the deal is really very complimentary and that their products don't really overlap. However, my preliminary research indicates that the combined entity will have significant market share in hay tools and tractors. Anyone have any thoughts? Any idea what these companies shares are in the 15-40 HP tractor market?
