I don't own the 'mog. Sometime ago on this forum I told the story of the unimog and a broken brake line. They bought it in St. Louis and were driving back to Canada. They made it to Indiana before it shut down with engine damage. Due to my helping them with the brakes after work, they asked me if I could handle the engine replacement. I said yes and he shipped me the unimog and the engine to install. It was quite an experience that I may have never gotten in these parts. I got to drive unimog around town twice, felt like the mayor with everyone staring. It was great. I parked in front of the parts store I go to and before I made it inside every employee was pressed against the windows looking out! I love that kind of attention you get from driving something nobody else has or hasn't even seen before. They took it back to Canada yesterday. It only moves at 50 KPH. It's gonna take forever from the St louis area. I can't wait for the call to tell me they made it safely. Chris.
