Older two-wheel drive tractors are cheap, simple, extremely durable, seem to run well, and don't depreciate. If you add a loader and the ground is soft, though, you are gonna get stuck until you learn what it can and can't do. My MF35 diesel is working right along with a 58 hp Kubota and a 70 hp Valtra in my tenant's haying operation this summer. It runs just as well as the new ones.
