Don't be so quick to take out that link. If the rail, chain, is worn that much the pitch, distance between pins has increased significantly so taking out the link and wearing the rails somemore will wear out the drive sprokets. Then someday the rail and sprokets will have to be replaced instead of just putting on rails now. Keep looking for rails, try Berco. If they don't have replacment rail they my know were you can get them.
