Look for a sign of wettness around where the accelerator cable is connected to the injection pump. Look hard at the side where the return spring is. Right after you shut it off and it is still hot, then look around that area and move the accelerator linkage back and forth and wiggle it, trying to get it to leak.
If fuel can come out of the bushings there then air can get in.
