I think thats a line of crap. If the hoses are gonna blow under 13lbs, they'll blow sooner or later at 7lbs. Doesn't make any sense to me, I drive an 88 f150 w/ the 4.9. I replaced my cap last winter and the auto parts store gave me a 13 lb. cap. I was replacing the radiator at the time, as well as thermostat, and the hoses. Make them give you a new cap, or give your old one back. Chances are, there's nothing wrong w/ the old one in the first place. Donovan from Wisconsin
