Problem is just like the scenario I was talking about with the locks on the bodies there are only so many different companies making ignition switches and so many different key combinations within their lines. I had a key made for a piece of equipment awhile back and the guy making it said it was the same as they use on many of the Honda motorcycles.......I'm sure if you were to try the key to your car (unles it has the computer chip)on every car like it you see eventually you'll run into one that's keyed the same. Now maybe it has a different combination of door lock and ignition key, but eventually you'd find one where one or the other of your keys would fit.
