I don't have the scientific knowledge to figure out the why,but I had noticed that advancing the timing made tractors smoother. I could tell the timing was slow,but hadn't figured out what was making the difference.We are lucky to have a "90+" gas available from the CO-OP in our area. Most farmers use this fuel,but the "weekend farmers" buy their gas at the local station. Going by the book isn't always 100%,sometimes you have to "fine tune" things a little,thanks for the lesson on the why?.
