I have a 20hp Sears Garden Tractor and would not recommend it, especially for snow removal. I have a two stage snow thrower attachment for it (which works absolutely awesome, even on the heaviest, wettest snow you can imagine) but the tractor is too small for it. I can hardly steer with it and it doesn't pick it (the snow blower) up very high. Between the tractor and thrower, I think I have over $3000. into it. It really is garbage. I bought it new. My only advice is get a snow thrower attachment (as opposed to a plow) and make sure its "two stage" . I did have an old Allis Chalmers B1 Garden tractor which I picked up with the mower deck, front plow & snow thrower for $400 bucks!!! That's when they knew how to make garden tractors. They are still around and if you're patient, you'll find one. It didn't have much horse power (I think arond 9), but as we all know, horses were different back then (I think it was made in 1963). Good luck!
