Trailer Brakes

I am about to purchase a new 24 foot gooseneck trailer with electric/hydraulic brakes. I would like a recommedation on the brand and type of brake controller that should be used. I was about to purchase a Tekonsha Voyager today until I was told by the clerk that it should not be used with hydraulic brakes. Would like the bennefit of your experience and knowledge on the subject. Please help.
