Rod, Have you tried Sears Brand Central? They carry nearly all the top brands, and will match any price of other retailers. The real kicker though is that they have their own trained service technicians, so customers dont have to revert back to the manufacturer if there is a service or performance issue. They also do not farm out their service to an independant contractor who may or may not be up to date on all the technical data. I"ve been through the service process, Sears and otherwise, and will take the Sears program anyday. There are a few Maytag stores who provide their own service, but they are few and far between, and not available in a lot of rural areas. Sears is everywhere. Gosh, I hope Sears compensates me handsomly for this plug.

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
