Hi Daniel, Clean #2 diesel contains 500ppm of water contained with-in the fuel according ASTM standards. No free water! At 1000ppm or greater of water content, then you will have free water or water that can be drained from the fuel. You clearly have fuel that has alot of free water. I would drain and clean the tank. Change the fuel filter(s) then put in new clean diesel. A fuel filter has the ability to absorb a small quanity of water out of diesel before free water occurs. The dirty diesel can be settled out over time. The water will settle to the bottom of the container with the oil on top. This takes a long time, maybe 6mths. You can add a air supply in the bottom of the container and bubble out the water. I can't tell you how long but probably a couple weeks. I would also change where you buy or how you store your fuel as you have a huge problem with your diesel supply. T_Bone
