I had 2 instances where I knew the complete story because I was in it and how the newspaper article that came out of it had manipulated the context so much that it was misleading.

On world events I like to use the WWW
World Wide Web. An amazing device.
It enables free comunication to people on the other side of the glass to ask them what they are seeing. But, even them, people see what they are told to see by gov't and media unless it is first hand as in DigDugNC's contact. That is nice to hear.
