I think I'd feel pretty darn good about $2.50/ gal gas. Prices here in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia passed that mark a long time ago. Was just into town tonight for fuel. Paid 98.9 cents/ liter for diesel. Looked on the sign going by one station on the way home. Reg. Self serve gas was $1.092 Cad per liter. That works out to $3.52 US, for one US gallon. That, without doubt is the highest price I've ever seen. 92 octane is about 10 cents /l more. And it's going to go higher. The tax structure in Nova Scotia is as follows: $0.155/L provincial road tax $0.04/L Federal excise tax 15% Harmonized sales tax piled on top of everything. This is all built into the $1.092 seen at the pump. And they wonder why some people drive diesel's on furnace oil........ Rod
