Brakes, reline,or buy new.............who knows....

I have a Massey Harris Model 50. The brakes need to be replaced. I have heard that you can replace them or buy re-lining material and re-rivot them in place of the worn linings.
Which is more cost effective, Do they work equaly well?
Any sugestions on where to pick some up.. Also, If you are interestd in tractor shows, check out oldengine.com
