Depends on what you want it for. I once had a 73'Ford 4000 2wd 52hp with a industrial front in loader and tried to use it for general landscaping in the yard. No Good. Tractor was to big and to heavy. Sure it would plow a field all day long and pull the house off of its foundation, but you try to level someones front yard with it and all you will have is a big mess. Smaller compact 4wd drive tractors are built ideally for this situation. They are lighter and more nimble plus the 4wd allows you to manuver around with minimal disturbance to the ground, and helps get you through sticky spots, but dont go trying to run a baler or pull a 7 row plow with one, they just ain't built for it.
