You mentioned the type of tools used to remove the fan on the powerstroke, we have about 30 of the powerstroke trucks. Best tool to remove the fan assb. is a dull air chisel in the middle of the nut flats. Works every time, try it on a bad one coming off for a test, nothing lost. Reinstall the same way, we never had a problem with this method.
