There are several reasons for the gas prices, most of them are caused by the leftists in this country. First world demand for crude is at a all time high while supply is not increasing. Now the problems caused by the left in this country. Drilling in Alaska BANNED, Drilling offshore California BANNED, Drilling in the gulf of mexico BANNED, Building new refinerys to replace ageing 30 year old plus ones in the USA BANNED, Complex idiotic EPA rules that require oil companies to produce over 50 differant blends of gas for differant area's of the country. If this country opened up areas to high tech clean oil drilling world oil prices would drop in a hurrey as overseas countrys would not want to lose their market. Build new high tech oil refinery's to ease fear's of insufficent refinery capacity. Simplify EPA rules on blends nation wide so one or two blends meet the clean air requirement's. Repeal high gas taxes, And last but not least, invest much more time and money in developing new sources of energy as even new oil discovery's are only going to last so long. The clock is ticking if we don't get to work soon I'am afraid in 10 year's we'll be complaining about $15 gas or worse rationed supply. Rant Over.
