Allis Chalmers B value

I'm about to buy an Allis Chalmers B with an add on three point hitch and a 5' finish mower. I did a stupid thing though. I offered the guy $1500.00 without hearing it run. I told him that if it ran good and the three point worked, I'd give him $1500.00 for it. Well...I heard it run and I felt obligated to honor my offer....The real problem is that it blew alot of smoke at start up....This is really worrying me. It appeared to be white smoke to me....maybe a little bit blue. Sounded good though....Am I paying too much....and getting myself into a money pit?...Oh yeah,... the rear tires are in need of replacement also...sheet metal has rot...maybe fenders need replacing and battery box too....Thankyou
