If it has an 18hp engine somebody has repowered it. The 1600 was a 16hp Briggs. The 1800 had an 18hp Kohler in it. Bolens was bought out by Gardenway, who also bought out Troy Bilt tillers. When Gardenway went bankrupt the Bolens and Troy lines were bought by MTD. If you can find an older Bolens dealer he should have his annual seminar books witch will have charts to figure out what years the 1668-02's were built.
