I, too, have now heard that PK has been purchased by Yazoo from HCC. I don't know what they plan to do with PK, but they probably didn't have to dig too deep in their pocket. When HCC bought PK (and Uni-tach) from Support Services International in Feb '96, it was for $1 and the assumption of $2,694,000 of liabilities, on unaudited net assets of $2,153,000, after a seven-figure loss in fiscal '95! I have not confirmed the sale, nor do I know what the parts status will be; but I suspect that the further away from Engineering Products that these get (now the fourth owner), the harder it will become to get older parts.
I couldn't imagine why I was still getting e-mail regarding this year-old post, until I realized that someone had reposted it. Gee, thanks a bunch, Anthony. No hard feelings, but "don't do that". It makes it hard to figure out what's going on.
To the gents looking for blades and parts; the S/N will relate to an approximate model of mower deck, but I can't tell more because you neglected to say what size deck you have! Aladdin, and possibly others, have aftermarket blades which are at least as good as, or better than, OEM PKs.
As for other parts, all I can suggest is try Yazoo, but I doubt they'll have a clue at this early stage.
