Plenty of water, plenty of firewood, and I'm sure there are enough pots, copper tube, firewood, etc around for each person to distill enough for themselves and several other people. Sure the water is nasty but distill it and treat it with a little Clorox or iodine. All it takes is around 2PPM residual and it';s perfectly safe.. On the same note surely some company out there has at least a couple portable distilling plants the could set up and make it on site. Ships do it all the time wether at sea or in port where the water is nasty. The only thing I ever had to do different was treating the water to a higher residual in port than I did at sea where the water was cleaner.....
