I'm a bit mystified as to why the lawyers get all the credit for the shape things are in. Seems to me the folks sitting in the jury box have the final say. That would be, ummmm, you and/or me. We spend big big dollars on education in this country, but we end up with people who aren't intelligent enough to employ good decision making technique when in the jury box or to "get out of Dodge" (New Orleans)when instructed to because of an impending danger. Then we whine about it because the lawyers "hoodwinked" us or our government let us down. I'm puzzeled.
