I think it is safe to say that the Master might have walked if there were not a Donkey (A$$) to ride. If He were waiting for a bus, It would have been 1900 years late in arriving. I think that labeling a Hurricane as a category 5 storm is the "Big Kahuna's way of warning his people to leave (walk or run) now, and don't wait for a ride that may or may not come. I'm reminded of the parable told by the Master, whereas during a great flood, a man with a burro knocked on another man's houseand said "come with me, the waters from the flood will be in your doorway in less than an hour. The man refused to leave his home saying, "I bellieve in the Lord, and that the Lord will take care of me". Whereas the first man left the second man, and rode his burro to higher ground. As the water raised not only to the front door, but forced the owner to the second floor, another man happened by with a small boat. Seeing the man in the second floor window, yelled out to him, "Please get into the boat, and I will take you to higher ground". "The flood has not crested, and you are in danger". The Man in the window refused to get into the boat, saying, "I believe in the Lord and the Lord will take care of me" As the waters raised still more, and forced the man onto the roof, another boat came by, saw the desparate man and offered him a ride to higher ground. The man on the roof refused for the same reason he refused the 2 other men. As the waters continued to rise, and the man began to drown, he calle out, dear God, Help Me!" Why, God, have you chosen to forsake me, I belive in you, and believed you would take care of me, not let me drown". Suddenly a voice came from the heavens and said, But Levi, I did not forsake you, I sent 3 angels to rescue you". "One angel on a burrow, and 2 angels in boats, and you refused my help, so I sent my Angels to help those who would accept it." You, ask, what would Jesus do. How do you know that Jesus isn't doing all he can do.
