Check out the charging circuit and load test the battery. I got a bad battery once and it caused the alt to burn out. Then after an exch alt it started acting strange, misfiring and the radio cutting out about 5 miles into a 10 mile drive. Then it would work fine. Did that a few more times then stopped dead at the 5 mile spot, wouldn't crank or anything. It took me an hour and a half to get home and return with booster and tools. Load tested bat and fine????? Jumped in and she cranked and started right up. Drove it home and it was in trouble again. Shut off and it wouldn't crank. Put charger on bat and it blew the reset. Let the bat cool for a while and it charged at 40 Amp without blowing the reset. Left bat and it completely discharged. It took some doing but I got another bat on warranty because after it cooled off for a couple of days it charged up and tested good. The only thing it continually gave radio trouble intermittantly. The new battery never caused any of these problems. Later Bob
