A product that I like better for this task is Marine Tex. It is used by boat repair people to make all types of metal damage repair. I have used it inside a carbureator to repair stripped and cracked areas. It is sealing a saddle tank on a diesel tractor for me. It can withstand fairly high temperature as well as the tractor fluids. I buy the material from a boat repair shop. It is available in 1/2 pint quantities at about $14. Just follow the can directions an I feel you will be satisfied. Hope this helps
