i, Start at $1000 and go up from there! Have $1000 in hundred dollar bills, and pull it out and ask if he would part with it.If he takes it great if not find that point where it will work. Go visit with your local JD dealership and price what a clutch job will be. This tractor will have to be split to fix. i will bet that they will want +or- $1500 to do this. so I would say that in the neighbor hood of $3000 or so it tops. The tractor will need about $1000 in rear tires. That is a current price of putting a set of 18.4x38s on a cousins 4230 a month ago. While you have it in the shop get a second remote added for you will need one sooner or later. Remember an LP tractor is a Gas rig with just a different fuel and delivery system. nothing to be scared of. Hope this helps. Later, John A.
