I've got a '88 2wd w/ 300w/Mazda 5 speed overdrive. I'm getting about 16-19 right now, mostly highway and some city everyday. My brother's 94 4wd w/ 300 and Mazda tranny gets about 13-14, but it's in dire need of a tune up. He normally drives his beater car. My truck has somewhere around 170,000 (speedo/odometer drive gear in tranny broke @ 144,406), My brother's has about 195,000 and burns(leaks) oil. Both are great trucks. I've had over 2 ton of rocks in the bed of mine already, and I've got 60 bales of straw in the back right now and another 15 in the trailer behind it ready to go tomorrow morning for delivery. In the winter when we buy hay I regularly pull 6-8 ton behind it. Trick is getting it going if your on ice in the driveway.
Love that old Ford... Donovan from Wisconsin
