Allen, the E stands for the load range. This is determined by whether the tire is used in a single or dual configuration. It also tells you how much weight the tire can hold at certain inflations. You will need a load chart for this. Nebraska Tire has a web site for this. The size of the tire also has to do with the load carrying capacity of the tire. I am not near a spec book right now, but I believe that an LT23585r16 LRE @ 80PSI should carry about 3300 LBS single. So if you have a 7000 LB axle with single tires, your max load would be 6600 LBS. Hope this helps you out. I am not sure of the website for Nebraska Tire, but it maybe just their name with a dot com or Firth Tire may be there website, this is a fairly popular tire dealer in Nebraska. Not sure what part of the state you are in, but I know these guys have a location just west of Kearney. You could also probably find the information on a tire manufacturers website, like BFGoodrich.com. It is worth a try. Good luck. John

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
