Look at an allis 7000, 7010, 7020 or 8010. The 7000 series had a little more power to them than the 8000 series due to no EPA regulations and the clouds of black smoke they can make when lugged down. These tractors are powered by 301 allis turbo engines, which are some of the best for fuel efficiency. I would doubt you would use over 3.5 gallons an hour pulling this thing all out. If it is loaded normally, you burn around 2 to 2.5 at most. They are also some of the best priced tractors, simple, and reliable no matter what tranny you get (powershift or powerdirector). I have a 7000 black belly and love it. The 7010 used the same rear end as a 7080 which was a 180 pto hp tractor, and same with the 7020, which is an intercooled 7010. The 7000 has a rearend that is unique to the model, but still a very good rearend for the most that the engine can put out. Good luck Hurst

The main focus of this page is to show how I upgr
