DJL, My old 97 (new style) F-150, 4x4, has just under 280k miles on it I have run 5 different sets of tires on it. To date the best tire I have found for my truck and I run it very simular to yours is the current set of P265/75-16 Radial Stampeed tires, Load range E,yes, I said Es. Got them last Christmas @ NTB. Will not go back to a load range C. Just everyday driveing I run 35 lbs. When I pull a trailer, then I airup the rears to higher lbs depending on the load. The tread pattern is a M&S pattern so there isn't any road noise to speak of....... My $.02 John A.
