Pedometer- charge by the foot. Course, if he wears it on his belt, he'll reset it on the way- if you do the walking, you have to walk back. So tie a flag to your tractor tire, do the math per revolution....but while you're watching that and counting- you just ran over his mailbox, dog, and petunia patch, which you will pay for. I guess I'd go with a standard show-up charge for a short drive, and eyeball estimate for the medium and long ones, per pass. Depends too if you are in the business to make money, or do favors. I've always done about 10 drives after a storm- 9 free ones for neighbors and a landlord, and one that I charged.....he took us farmers for a million one in a planned bankruptcy and hasn't worked in 11 years- so it's not free. Last few years my snowblower has had a bad gearbox......so sorry.
