Had a neighbor who borrowed my Oliver 550 tractor- came over with hat in hand and said the clutch had gone out (it had been weak for awhile)- he had the tractor split and was going to complete the repair without even telling me, but couldn't find a clutch plate. I finally talked him into letting me pay for half of the parts, but he refused to take anything for his labor. This is the same guy who hired a machinist to repair the bull gear in my baler, and wouldn't take a nickel. Wish I could have taken him with me as a neighbor when we moved. Needless to say, he can borrow anything from me, anytime.
