Back in the 80's, my family (wife and two little kids) were in a city park in Kamloops on a holiday trip and stopping for the night. We were having a picnic supper and a hobo type happened along and asked for "spare change". Well, I told him that I wouldn't give him any money but he was welcome to a full plate of food, fried chicken, buns, potatoe salad, veggies with dip, etc. He gladly took me up on the offer and when I was putting some of the cold fried chicken on his plate he said "oops, forgot to tell ya, no dark meat for me thanks". I thought that was pretty good, here's a guy with the arse out of his pants but he doesn't want any dark chicken meat. He wasn't obnoxious or anything, just a bit fussy and full of pride I guess. I had a good laugh after he left. By the way, he did say "thank you sir" and "God bless you and your family" etc. and I believe he meant it. I guess he just didn't like dark chicken meat.
