The elevators (2) in my area that used to buy ear corn when they quit buying it got rid of there charts, a third elevator when they bought ear corn shelled it to a scale hopper and weighed it after shelling and the 4'th elevator where I go started after ear corn was a thing of the past so never had them. The figures I need to come up with are for how many bushels of shelled corn the ear corn would make and this is the figure I need not only to find price but to report yield to gov for federal crop insurance and they require EXACT figures based on EXACT moisture content. When he bought some a few year ago we just figured it out at 70# ear corn to get bushels without woring about moisture but had problems with the crop insurance and I need to get as big a yield in my record as possible as I think my corn will be the best I have had in over 15 years, just between him and me no problem but figure in Uncke Sam and that is when the problem hits
