That would be a good buy in Eastern Washington. While the 9N leaves much to be desired compared to most later tractors in terms of features,it was very sophisticated for its day. N parts availability is great and there are lots of them out there if you should need an unusual part. The loader is probably a trip bucket type, but once you get used to them, they work OK and are a huge amount better than no loader at all. If the mower operates it is probably worth at least $300 and the 501 is considered to be a pretty good mower. It sounds like a great first tractor to me. You could do a lot of work with that combination and also have a neat unit to fix up. I'd jump on it if I needed one!
