Dieselman,
You are correct about lubercating propetys of diesel fuel. In Alabama.years ago. diesel was about 25 cents a gallon kerosene was 10 cents. The state required service stations with a kerosene pump to have a hose of about 2 feet long. Otherwise truckers would add a quart of oil to 20 gallons of kerosene. The truck would run fine but the state wanted their road tax. Leroy
