Usually I agree with most of your postings, but a true dieselman would know that many Ford 3,4 &6 cyl parent bore blocks as well as JD 276, 329 & 404 wet sleeved engines in NA configuration have fallen victim to cavitation erosion just for a couple of quick examples. In my experience, the particular engines that are extra prone to this condition when coolant conditioner is neglected has little, if anything to do with the aspiration of the engine. JMHO.
