Quite common site here are Co-op owned Loadstar or Ford Louisville trucks converted to Fert&Lime trucks.Bout 48x24x20 Ag floaters on the rear and real wide steet tires on front.Dunno bout the gearing,but they trundle down the road pretty good,but gear right down for spreading in the field.Guy I know says they "Go" real good,but with the big tires and a load on,the brakes "really need" upgrading at road speed(45)
