May she have a speedy recovery. It may be quite a while (a year or more) before she is able to do much riding again. When I was 14, I had similar injuries (one rib went through my lung and exited out my back) from a motorcycle accident. Took me over a year before I could ride for more than 15 minutes without being in a world of pain. It did get me out of mowing lawn though........
