IMHO whenever the pump is removed/reinstalled the seals should be replaced, if for no other reason as a matter of precaution. The extra cost and trouble of doing so while you're at it is minor compared to the consequences of having diesel fuel in the crancase if the old ones should fail. I'm not sure about the 5020, but 4320/4620 have a seal with a lip, on those the trick is to CAREFULLY use a screwdriver to keep the seal from rolling as you work th epump back on the shaft...
