You seem to be serious about this starch thing - so here it goes. Starch is plywood in an aresol can. You don't want to do it to the whole shirt, but it will make your creases really sharp. Around the collar to keep it straight is ok too. I've only used it on my military uniforms, but have seen a few cowboys at the local fairs that are using it obviously. They are always with their girl. It's availble in the laundry section at the grocery store.
