Yep, Ive seen plenty of Perkins diesels n believe them to be pretty darn good, Massey Ferguson used them. I suppose they would be plenty heavy for the work you mentioned. I just dont see parts n service EVER being any good and as far as resale value, use one a year and even if its kept looking like new but you try n sell it, Im afraid any knowledgeable/informed buyer wouldnt wanna give very much as compared to if it were a known established brand like Deere etc. However, they may be fine and its your money n your call, so go for it n best wishes n good luck with it. Just an uninformed opinion, John T
