I have seen these tractors - but never owned or operated. My opinion - for what you will spend on the larger versions of these tractors ($10K+) you would be able to buy a suitable and reliable used Deere, Ford/NH or Case/IH that you KNOW you could find parts for, even if it is 20 or more years old. And if you take care of it, you will likely get almost all of your money back when you sell it, maybe more if you bought it right. Rural King only offers 6mos limited warranty with an extended warranty that you would have to purchase. If the Chinese company that makes them goes belly up, or Rural King decides they don't want to sell tractors anymore, good luck finding parts. Rural King may be able to get parts, but how long to get one they don't have in stock? As previously stated, the Perkins should be a good engine, but what about the hydraulics, trans, electrical, etc? I live near 3 Rural Kings and have only seen two of these tractors when I'm out and about. Both were the smaller 20-25hp models and appear to be set up for mowing and caring for oversized lawns. Why not see if RK will tell you who has bought one like you are interested in and go talk to the guy that bought it and see what he thinks about his purchase. Then, on the sly, talk to the guy that is working on them for RK and see what he thinks about them. I'm not knocking Rural King and I shop there often, I'm just not sure that they would be on my short list of places to buy a tractor and have it serviced, Chinese or not.

The farm and the Allis were sold and I have spent a lifetime working on farms throughout the country. I promised myself that one day I would own an Allis. That time event
