I have an 88 Honda Civic that did something similar which caused me to do a lot of research. Apparently they were notorius for the ignighter in the distributor going bad, and the main circut under the dash. Two symptoms: would start and run but after warming up wouldn"t start again until cooling off - ignighter. Wouldn"t start when hot/cold outside (go figure) -Main Circut. Both these would push a code to the ECM (look under the passanger floor carpet for green flashing light, count the number of flashes). When the main circut was created they didn"t wipe the flux off the solders, they cracked. I took mine out and just remelted the solder - problem fixed. Look for threads at Hondahookups.com (they"re kinda hip-hop on the site but good info) just search for your problem. Ignightor pushed 16 code to ECM which says fuel injection, but it isn"t. It was a $45 ignightor. good luck, only hard part for mine was finding and getting the main circut out, tucked in under the dash - looks like a 1"x2" square plastic thingy. good luck.

I tried to use an easy out but it wasn't budging and I didn't want t
