Diesel more $ than gas. Row crops are going between $2,000 (good running) to $5,000 in almost perfect condition. #pt is worth more than Fast hitch, Tires as always are a big factor. An all hydro loader alone will set you back $1,500 to $2,000. $8,000 should get you the absolute best one to be found. A 656D with a loader can be found in that price range and you would have considerably more to work with. I really like my 504 but it is a chore only machine for me. If you were to do real grunt work something more horsey might be a better choice. THe 504 gasser is a non slieved engine with not much room for boreing. That is a consideration too. The diesel is a better outfit in that regard.
